My engineering teacher assigned our class a project: design and create an original board game! Designing an original game sounded simple on paper. But the moment I sat down to brainstorm, I realized I didn’t want to create something basic or forgettable. I wanted a game with weight strategy, mythology, and personality. That’s when the idea for Kratos hit me.


I started imagining a world where chess pieces weren’t just shapes, but gods. Zeus as the king. Thor as the queen. Hermes, Ares, Trident, Chameleons each piece with its own identity and power. The concept felt exciting but also intimidating. Could I actually turn this into a functional game?


I sketched the first designs, and even though they were rough, they sparked something real. Kratos wasn’t just an assignment anymore. It was a world I wanted to build.
